Hello,

Well, I wanted to know if this version on playshakespeare.com is closed to that of the Arden Shakespeare version. I have been told that there are many versions of King Lear, but I need to read the Arden Shakespeare by R. Foakes. Any help would be welcome.

Thank you everyone.
Sorry, this question was somehow overlooked. Even though it's been a while, here's your answer. :)

There are differences between ALL versions of Shakespeare's texts. The Riverside is different from the Arden, which is different than the Oxford edition. Each has its own editorial nuances. The PlayShakespeare.com editions are different than those for the same reason. That being said, the differences are often not too far apart.

There's a section of this forum that discusses the various differences that might be of help to you.
