NOW ONLINE: Free Blogs for Shakespeareans

Saturday, 17 May 2008 18:00

Are you a Shakespearean and you want your own blog but don't know how to set it up? Do you want to have a blog but don't want to deal with any of the technical issues? PlayShakespeare.com is now announcing free blogs for Shakespeareans!

What's the catch? You have to agree with the following guidelines:

1) You don't have to blog 100% of the time about Shakespeare-related topics, but we encourage you to do it a majority of the time. After all, this is PlayShakespeare.com.

2) You should be prepared to update your new blog on a regular basis. Once a day is ideal, but we realize people are busy and you may only be able to do it once every few days. Remember that people will be visiting your blog on a regular basis and will expect to see new content.

3) Your URL is up to you and will be in the format: http://www.playshakespeare.com/YourName and http://YourName.playshakespeare.com. Use your real name or pick a name that suits you best!

That's it! You have full tech support using the easiest and most popular blogging software available today: WordPress. You can customize the look of your blog as much as you want (we can even help you out a little), install your own widgets, and advanced users can add their own specialized functionality.

To see if you qualify for your own free blog, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please send a brief bio about yourself  and what you'd like to use your blog for.
