I'm looking for a pattern, of sorts, here. Not sure there's one to find, but it seems that Julius Caesar is a popular play this year. I predicted Midsummer and R&J would be in abundance just due to the economy and because these shows are a cinch to fill a theater--at least in the beginning.

So what think you? What Shakespeare play best defines the changing season of 2009? Perhaps you see a trend? Perhaps you want to start one? Between a changing of the American guard, a tumbling of the economy, scandals and swindlers and living in a world that is somewhere between "So shaken as we are so wan with care" and "Yes you can!" hopeful, what Shakespeare play best defines it all and why?
