I'm happy to report that Parade Theater is live!
Parade Theater is interested in presenting dramatic productions in novel ways. Our first project takes the internal character networks of William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and broadcasts it onto the Twitter stage. With the dissection of the play into smaller chunks, the transference to a modern medium and the addition of visual cues, it's an experiment aimed at bringing Shakespeare to new audiences or perhaps appreciating his works in news ways.
Here's a few highlights: https://twitter.com/paradetheater/favorites
You can follow all the characters, Theseus, Helena, Oberon, etc as they put on the play straight off their Twitter pages. Or see the unified play here: http://ParadeTheater.com
As folks with an avid interest in Shakespeare, I'd like to get your feedback. What works? What doesn't? Do you personally like it? Why? Why not? It doesn't have to be long, whatever thoughts you have are appreciated. Thank you!
