Cerimon is a physician of Ephesus. He is a kind, generous, and charitable old man, known throughout the town for his goodness and his skill.
He is an excellent doctor, with hundreds of cures to his credit. When Thaisa is brought to him, he quickly realizes that she is not dead, and is able to revive her. He has very few doubts about his own skill.
