Lucilius is one of Timon’s servants, a younger man who has served his master well for some years now.
One of his tasks is serving at table. He is in love with the Old Athenian’s daughter, and visits her at night. His fortune is made when Timon finds out that the Old Athenian disapproves of the match because of Lucilius’s poverty; Timon proceeds to enrich him. He is suitably grateful.
