Aeneas is one of the Trojan commanders.
A friendly man, he goes ahead to warn Troilus that Cressida is to be given to the Greeks, though he displays little sympathy for the lad and none whatsoever for Cressida. He acts as a herald between Hector and the Greeks. He is quite friendly with the enemy when they are not trying to kill one another. He is captured by Ajax in the last battle, but escapes. He will go on to be one of the few to escape Troy, and will later found Rome (see Virgil’s Aeneid for details).
